I WILL make the following promises;
I will work and to the best of my ability to get TOYOTA up and running with hiring as many PONTOTOC PEOPLE as we can;I WILL FIGHT FOR YOU!!!
I will propose to contract with a collection agency to collect delinquent taxes on private property and mobile homes as real property that is due the County.
I will propose to contract with the County Constables to collect past due fines,with successful collection,and charge an additional charge of 15% when collected within the State and 25% when collected outside the State of Mississippi.
This will add to our tax base and bring more money as not to raise our taxes.
I will work as hard and as long as it takes to bring JOBS back to PONTOTOC COUNTY so our people will not have to drive to other Counties to work,to work to give tax breaks to any buisness that chose to relocate or stay in PONTOTOC COUNTY.( With agreement to improve every five years )
This will put MORE money in your pockets since you will NOT have to spend more money out of your pay checks on fuel.
I will work,when money is available, to improve our COUNTY ROADS and to make our roads safe for our CHILDREN and YOU!
The more roads that are paved the less equipment we will need to repair roads IE: motorgraders saving County money we can sell some of the equipment and this will cut the maintenance bills on that piece of equipment.
I will research Federal,State,private means for grants,funds,loans,gifts,matching funds,and other monies to save the County tax dollars and administer those monies to perform services,and activities to support the safe well being of our citizens.
I will work to obtain grants or funds to establish a severe weather warning system for the County.
I will work to get grants or any other means to SUPPORT our FIREFIGHTERS and LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS so they can protect us better.
I will work to keep the ditches clean for better flow of water runoff to cut down on insects that produce diseases.
I will support all COUNTY EMPLOYEES to get them a better way of life and security and work to make County Government better by cutting out WASTEFUL SPENDING-IT IS TIME TO PUT A STOP TO WASTEFUL SPENDING!!!!
I am TIRED of building County buildings on private property and after the Supervisor leaves office we gets to keep the buildings;I WILL work to find a place central in District 2 and move ALL District 2 operations to this location.
This way the next Supervisor's will have a place and it WILL NOT BE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY as it is now!!!!!!!!
I make the above promises how many promises have the other candidates made,NONE?
Perhaps the so called CHANGE they say they will bring is only a campaign slogan and means nothing?
I am TIRED of POLITICIANS saying we need CHANGE but CHANGE we never see;It's time to hire the person whom has a plan and plans on working for the people and stop working for themselves!
